Dr. Mark Elgart, president and CEO of Cognia, spoke recently to EdWeek Market Brief about shifts in the industry and in states’ and districts’ needs for testing.
While some companies have struggled as a result of institutions not administering testing during the pandemic, Cognia has been able to emphasize different aspects of its offerings, such as professional development focused on remote teaching, in large part because of its diverse array of business lines and strong client relationships. Cognia’s state clients are advocating for assessing in an environment focused on student improvement rather than high-stakes accountability.
